Master Scheduler/Buyer

A local manufacturing plant in the Iowa City area is seeking a proven leader for our Master Schedule/Buyer opportunity. This professional will have overall responsibility for the facility's sales and operations planning process, production planning/capacity loading, service level performance, and inventory controls to ensure efficiency in processes, on-time deliveries, inventory levels at or below budgeted numbers, and high customer satisfaction. This important role will oversee material flow, the layout of raw material, and finished good storage; lead manufacturing scheduling methods and strategies; and adjust planning/manufacturing processes to reflect significant changes in demand or customer-directed changes. Will also provide training to staff to keep employees current with all company supply chain policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, manufacturing environment. Must have a demonstrated ability to schedule multiple high speed production lines to maximize utilization as well as strong management skills to effectively lead a small staff as well as guide and teach other production areas in Supply Chain processes. In-depth knowledge of Material Management, Production Scheduling, and Capacity Planning is also required. Preference will be given to candidates with APICS and/or CPIM certification. Sales and Operations Planning experience is a plus.
